These hats are made by master hatmaker Jorge Maidana who learned his trade as an adolescent.

They are made of the finest rabbit felt and formed to be soft to the touch and yet keep their shape as is necessary for a dress hat to be worn to the milongas and other social events.

As Jorge says: 'The hat, today, yesterday and always, will continue to be a symbol of elegance and the well dressed person. It is an instrument of courtesy, of good manners, of the interchange of expression without sound. By a mere movement one can express a hello, a goodbye, a sad or happy thought'.
